Hinduism

Hinduism is complex set of beliefs, values, and customs comprising the dominant religion of India.

Hinduism is a conglomeration of distinct intellectual or philosophical points of view, rather than a rigid common set of beliefs.

Core beliefs are Avatar Vada, Ekeshwaravada , Authority of the Vedas, Atman, Karma, Murti Pooja, Ahimsa, Four Puruṣārthas, Varnashrama dharma and Reincarnation.

Holy Places: Char Dham : Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Kumbh Mela: Allahabad, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain. Holy cities : Varanasi(Kashi), Allahabad , Haridwar- Rishikesh, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Ayodhya.

Holy Books: Four Vedas : Rig veda, sama veda, yajur veda, Atharva Veda. 18 Puranas, Mahabharata, The Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, etc.

World population: 900 million, 3rd largest religion.

Major presence: India, Nepal, Mauritius, Guyana, Fiji, Bhutan, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh.
